Part-time Opportunity in an Interdisciplinary Research Team

Join an interdisciplinary team working on enhancing cybersecurity measures for farms! We are seeking motivated individuals to contribute to a project aimed at safeguarding agricultural operations from cyber threats. This hands-on opportunity allows you to engage with cutting-edge technology and address real-world challenges facing producers.

As part of this project, you will investigate cybersecurity risks specific to production, conducting literature reviews, interviewing producers, and analyzing vulnerabilities in GIS/GPS technologies used in precision agriculture. The goal is to develop actionable mitigation strategies and educational resources tailored for producers to improve their cybersecurity posture.

Required Skills:

Strong research and analytical skills

Interest in agriculture, cybersecurity, or related fields

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and report writing

Preferred Skills:

Background in Education and Marketing, engineering, computer science, agriculture, or related disciplines

Familiarity with GIS/GPS technologies and cybersecurity concepts

Experience in conducting interviews or surveys
