Online Academic Coach
The Student Success Center, in conjunction with the Library Learning Commons, is seeking qualified peer educators to assist online and regional center students in General Education courses and in key areas such as study skills, time management, and critical thinking.
A successful Online Academic Coach will provide students with assistance in all General Education courses while offering generalized coaching. In addition, upon faculty endorsement, Online Academic Coaches may be allowed to coach outside of the General Education curriculum.
In addition to initial training (electronic and in-person), and ongoing training (approximately one hour per month), Online Academic Coaches must work approximately 10 hours per week (minimum 125 hours per semester).
While the position is designated as an online position, Online Academic Coaches are expected to perform their duties in person within the Library Learning Commons. Occasionally, Online Academic Coaches will be needed to work at the Welcome Desk and direct visitors in person.
