2026 Career Peer Educator
A Career Peer Educator is a paraprofessional role and comes with high expectations:
- Help your peers with resume and cover letter writing
- Help your peers locate internships, part-time and full-time jobs
- Give presentations on job search topics
- Market CPAD resources and programs
- Strengthen interpersonal, leadership, advising, public speaking, programming and marketing skills
Develop the following Career Competencies
- Oral/Verbal Communication
- Teamwork/Collaboration
- Leadership
- Professionalism/Work Ethic
- Critical Thinking/Problem Solving
Who qualifies?
- Sophomores, juniors and seniors (as of August 2025) with 2.5 GPA or above
- Interest in assisting peers with career concerns
- Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds
- Strong verbal communication skills, able to communicate one-on-one and present to groups
- Strong written communication skills, able to identify grammatical and spelling errors
- Creativity and enthusiasm
